True-Wood Plantation Shutters Warranty
Original Purchaser Guidelines

True-Wood shutters carry a full, in-home warranty against defects in wood materials and workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the home. Repair or replacement will be at no cost to the homeowner. In the event of product design changes, defect replacements may be made using a later design.
This lifetime warranty applies to installations within a thirty mile radius of any of our stores. Outside of this area repairs will still be at no charge while the original purchaser owns the home; however, travel time will be subject to charges.
This warranty applies only to installations performed by an Austin Window Fashions or a Window Fashions of Texas technician
This warranty does not apply to shutters that have been damaged due to water, neglect, misuse or abuse; however materials will be provided at no charge in cases where minor damage (i.e. from pets, children, and other sources) has occurred. Trip charges to and from the home, de-installation and re-installation, and shop labor will still be subject to charge in cases of minor damage. In the event of product design changes, damage replacements may be made using a later design.
This warranty does not cover shutters installed on exterior locations or commercial properties. It does not cover normal wear typical to residential applications. It does not cover acts of God. It does not cover shutters that have been removed, modified, and/or reinstalled by anyone other than an Austin Window Fashions or Window Fashions of Texas technician. This warranty is in lieu of all other obligations, liabilities or warranties implied or expressed. In no event shall Austin Window Fashions, Inc. or Window Fashions of Texas be liable or responsible for incidental or consequential damage, loss, cost or expense, whether direct or indirect, resulting from product defects covered by this warranty.


Transferability of Warranty:
Assuming proper warranty transfer procedures have been followed, the lifetime warranty against defect in wood materials continues for the life of the home; however, this transferred warranty only covers the cost of replacement materials, and does not cover travel to and from the home, de-installation and re-installation, and required shop-labor.


Paint and Stain Finish Warranty:
Painted finishes 8 Years*
Stained Finishes 4 Years*
* Dark tinted painted or stained colors are not warranted against fading.


Care and Maintenance:
Your custom shutters must be maintained as outline below to ensure a long-life.

Dust or vacuum frequently. A lamb’s wood duster is recommended.
Clean occasionally with a damp sponge and dry thoroughly.
